peeking at the LB 1.31 files, you can notice the presence of the QtNetwork library, which means network play might come SOON™️. I pretty much thought out of what would online combat on LB look like.

Tanks: their weight would usually stick to under 100 tons, and basically consist of a powerful, lightweight cannon on wheels(tracks would be fragile and usually laggy. Razz ). the most common ammunition type would be the 100mm ball, because of its small size, decent aerodynamics and the complicatedness of adding smaller balls. more complex cannons could include dual-feed systems, with one of the ammunition types being obviously Metal E(probably stacked in order to increase density to 60kg/dm³), and another lighter material for closer range fighting(probably wood A for increased velocities or rubber A in order to transfer more energy through its bounciness). Scripted tanks could include ballistic computers and rangefinders. also, they would feature LOTS of glued components in order to increase resistance. Carefully designed vehicles could use sloped armor as well.

Aircraft: fighters would mostly be missile based, although some could have a high speed gun. Users could just aim at the enemy aircraft to acquire a rangefinder function based missile lock, which could possibly be lost by ejecting large, thin wood disks as unreliable countermeasures, or sticking close to terrain. missiles would consist of a single shot flying gun. Ground attack aircraft would basically feature flying cannons. stealth planes would be very thin and fast, in order to decrease missile lock possibilities by reducing cross-section.

Turrets: just a huge cannon fort made out of metal E. could be easily destroyed by breaking its gun barrel.

Walkers: Jets usually won't be powerful enough for stabilization, which could be done by having counter-spinning discs which could be braked individually instead.

Hacking/Griefing:just a huge object covering all the spawn area. most common kinds of hacking would be .lbd editing, in order to achieve power values higher than 200(theres even a preset using it), or excessively small/large objects.

What are your opinions on what LB online combat could lead to?

Right now I'm working on a tank that uses 4 wheels on each side.

the turret will most likely be similar to that of an S-tank. This is mostly to make it easier to be controlled by only 1 person, as well as able to hold more ammunition and have heavier armor.

Also, idea for a weapon: Since jets can actually push objects that the jet hits, you could theoretically make a missile with several max-power jets on the front that fire on contact with the target.

This would basically be a tank-busting RPG, except instead of blasting molten copper, it shoots a jet of plasma >Smile. Why destroy their armor if you can just hit whats behind it?
