Rigid-chips Glossary
ARM
- Gun chips. Your only weapon in RC
BALLOON
- Jets with option 1 or 2; a spherical chip that gives flotation
CCD
- Charge Coupled Device, i.e. light-sensor. A virtual camera mounted within the CORE chip
CHIP
- The general term for the "panels" with which you build models in RC
- The most basic type of chip, has no special attributes
CORE
- The "heart" of a model. Identical to a CHIP but with a red dot on it. Holds the CCD
COWL
- A type of chip with no physical properties. For cosmetic use only
FRAME
- A type of chip. Half as heavy as a CHIP; does not experience air resistance; bullets randomly pass through it
FUEL
- The virtual energy source of models, used to power wheels, jets and fire guns. Stored in CHIPS, FRAMES and WEIGHTS
GHOST
- A FRAME (or TRIMF/RUDDERF) with option=1. Invisible, no ground collision but can still be hit by a bullets
JET
- A type of chip. Usually only refers to a JET chip with option = 0, which gives thrust perpendicular to its face
RLW
- Recoil-Less Wheel: a wheel that does not generate reaction torque when powered
RUDDER/RUDDERF
- A type of chip. All properties are the identical to a CHIP except its rotational axis. RUDDERF is the frame equivalent of a RUDDER
TRIM/TRIMF
- A type of chip. All properties are the identical to a CHIP except its rotational axis. TRIMF is the frame equivalent of a TRIM
WEIGHT
- Gravitational force acting on an object. Not to be confused with "mass"
- A type of chip. Heavy and durable, often used as armour plates
WHEEL
- A type of chip that act as a wheel or motor. Composed of 2 chips (RIM and AXLE)
Lots more to come
