Re: RC map maker?
a chip is 1m sized, so you might want to sale your maps according to it.

Re: RC map maker?
A chip is by no means 1m size (in any dimension). A square chip is 0.6m to a side.
You can use any 3D editor, as long as it can export .x files.

Re: RC map maker?
no, but extensions to it do.
i think a long runway should be enough.
if you're REALLY on the ambitious side, try to make a panekit world like map(ok, far too complicated...)

Re: RC map maker?
You need to unzip the 3D rad exporter into the plugins folder for google sketchup. Then, it should be in the sketchup option bar farthest to the right.
There will be option to export it as a generic direct X file. Use the one that doesn't include backfaces to reduce lag when using the map.
Also, the white sides on google sketchup are the ones you will collide with, so make those facing in the direction you expect most people will touch it from.
One more thing: don't make closed 3D objects, such as boxes or circles. They will cause you to get stuck inside. That is why default rigidchips maps don't have a bottom.

i think he doesn't know how to use the follow me tool, therefore i think he doesn't know how to make a sphere.
edit: without backfaces you cant collide with them!

Actually, I am pretty sure that you don't need backfaces, because The maps that I have made for myself don't have backfaces turned on, and it is fine

Re: RC map maker?
i think brosky is simply getting too fast for himself.
for air races, you would need to make a game scenario, which needs lua.

Actually, games (basic games, at least) do not involve any Lua. And if you wanted to create an air-race, why not use or modify Bwansy's AirRace scenario?
