when you say amphibian, do you mean ground-to-water, or water-to-air?

if it is the first, then it is relatively simple. Basically, just make a boat and put wheels on it.

if it is water-to-air, it gets a bit more complicated. in order to land, you will need to make a plane that uses either balloons or sleds in combination with wheels. If you use balloons, it is lighter but you need quite a few in a row. if you use sleds, it is heavier but much more sturdy and a little more stable.

I think water is at zero hight. Have it transform when _Y() goes negative. I'm not sure how you'd get it to transform back right unless you build it so it can force its way on land a little bit. I suppose you could check its center of mass and if it's higher than it should be and not falling, it must have hit land.
